EVERY year Towersey Festival proves why it is one of the country’s most anticipated folk events around and this time was no different.
The thriving folk and arts festival is in its 47th year and thousands of people flocked to the outskirts of Thame on the Bank Holiday weekend to experience the folk music, attractions, arts and big names. Headlining the 2011 event was music icon and political commentator Billy Bragg, who wowed the crowds.
Revellers also enjoyed folk and roots music, ceilidhs, dance teams, and craft workshops.
