Michele Pethers, event supporter and owner of Crash Records, said: “The excitement is really hotting up now. Tickets are still available for this wonderful event, and this year we have introduced the new audience vote, with a winning prize, so you can really feel like you are taking part – a bit like X-Factor.”

The latest acts signed up include dance troupes, a gymnast, drummer, classical singers and rock bands – all hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winner 16-year-old Rowan Carter, who is set to open the event on the day.

Prizes up for grabs include a day in a recording session with Black Frog recording studios, a cash prize of £200, a professional photoshoot with Frank Millar photography (who will be taking photographs of entrants on the day, available to purchase), and new for this year a meal for six courtesy of the Spread Eagle Hotel (audience participation prize) and for the under 15s category winner, a milkshake and cookie VIP event at Time Out Café in Thame!

Last year the event raised over £2k for the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC), which provides care and support to local families affected by life-limiting illness across Buckinghamshire and surrounding area.

Local companies lending their support include Crash Records, Orsum Events, Frank Millar Photography, Kismet Jewellers of Thame, Black Frog Studios, Brothers Hair Salon, Kay Cupcakes and local family grocer Newitt & Sons, who have kindly donated a Christmas hamper as a raffle prize for the event. Thame Air Cadets will also be providing the ‘muscle’ on the day.
