HADDENHAM was treated to a theatrical feast at the weekend with the Haddenham Players production of Rebecca.
The complex and melodramatic Daphne du Maurier tale, set in a small Cornish community, was one of the most ambitious productions yet for the group and they delivered it with flair and imagination.
Lead characters Maxim de Winter and his new wife were played by Ed Cairns and Lucy Jennings. All the cast put in an enormous amount of work which paid off in a production to be proud of. While the lead couple were elegant and romantic, Gill Reeve’s Mrs Danvers was scarily frosty. Keep a look out for future production by Haddenham Players.
