Celebrate Jo’s ‘anger’ with her

One of Britain’s funniest women brings her ‘celebration of anger’ show to the Queens Park Arts Centre next month.

Jo Caulfield is well known for her countless appearances on TV shows from Have I Got News For You to Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

The 47-year-old Welsh performer was recently nominated as the LAFTA awards’ Funniest Woman.

She found herself as a comedian after drunkedly entering an open mic event in London, then winning and being invited back for a 10-minute slot the week later.

She then opened her own comedy club in the basement of a pub, where she compared for five years honing her craft.

When asked about her influences, she says she admires people like Jack Dee for ‘taking everyday topics like his family or rail travel or the supermarket and making the audience laugh when they realise we all share exactly the same stupid experiences’.

Jo’s Better The Devil You Know show, also known as her ‘celebration of anger’, will feature topics from dating to bad service.

Jo appears in Aylesbury at 8pm on Friday February 8.
