A HADDENHAM blogger has launched a website focusing cosmopolitan eyes on the very best shops, restaurants, entertainment and days out the Thame area has to offer.

The free subscription blog by Hero Brown features personal recommendations on food, boutiques, movies, walks, pubs, shopping, days out, and whatever else takes her fancy.

Named Muddy Stilettos, the blog is so different because there are no advertorials and no irrelevant listings. It’s totally unbiased, independent and written to entertain as well as inform.

Hero intends to feature only the interesting, fresh and ‘unmissable’.

She said: “As an ex-Londoner in rural Bucks, I was always looking out for new cafes, cool boutiques, cosy pubs – anything new I could try and also tell my friends about.

“Now the blog has become the place where I share my secret addresses, but I’m also finding it’s a good way to create community. My readers write comments and swap ideas on what they’ve tried, and it’s great that the blog helps support local businesses too.”

And for those who join up to www.muddystilettos.co.uk before December 1 there’s a free wardrobe-overhaul worth £150 with personal shopper Nicky Crabbie up for grabs.

Hero has had lots of local support – national award-winning photographer Paul Wilkinson has taken publicity pictures – and there are regular giveaways on the blog.
