We are two hard working mums and at the moment are busy training for the Great North Run, running on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.
We are trying to run three times a week and try to vary our routes. We always run on the pavement where possible, in some circumstances we have to run on the road (grass isn't any good as this is a road race we are training for).

We always run si
ngle file and facing the traffic and always acknowledge motorists who pull out for us but, on a number of occasions we have had to put up with swearing, rude hand gestures and sometimes the motorists try to scare us by not giving us room to run and they find this very funny as they feel we shouldn't be on the road.

So if any motorist is reading this and put themselves into the above category, please give us a thought. We are trying to raise money and without people like us giving up our free time lots of charities would suffer. You never know, one day you might need this charity.

Next time when you see us running up the bypass or wherever please spare us a thought and all sponsorship would be greatly received.
Thank you.
