Silverstone has agreed a 17-year deal to host the British Grand Prix from 2010.
The famous circuit, located on the Buckinghamshire/ Northamptonshire border, has stepped in after Donington Park failed to come up with neccessary funds to host the coveted Formula One race.

Silverstone has hosted the British GP since 1987, but in 2005 it was announced that Donington would take over from 2010.

Under the new agreement, Silverstone will be redeveloped, with work focusing on rebuilding the pits and paddock.

The news means Aston Clinton F1 star Mark Webber will continue to race in his home county.

The Red Bull racer came second at this season's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
