Aylesbury United 1 Burnham 2 - An own goal three minutes from the end saw the Ducks suffer an undeserved defeat at the hands of title chasers Burnham last night (Wednesday).
United's performance belied their lowly league position and that of the lofty visitors.

Tony Joyce's side, fresh from picking up their first league victory in 21 games last Saturday, had visibly grown in confidence and put in a performance worthy of at least a point from the game.

Jon Montgomery scored against his old club to give the home side the lead. But it was not to be as two Burnham goals, the second coming at the death, consigned Ducks to a cruel defeat.

For a full report and reaction see this week's Bucks Advertiser, out Friday.
