Aylesbury United's mini-revival was brought to an end by Sudbury last night (Wednesday).
United, who had drawn their last two games, lost 4-0 at Bell Close- a disappointing scoreline given that Sudbury are near the bottom of the table and have struggled for form of late.
Tony Joyce's men are effectively eleven points adrift of the safety zone, taking into account their relegation rivals' vastly superior goal difference.
They next entertain midtable Woodford United on Saturday before travelling to bitter rivals Chesham on Boxing Day.
