Aylesbury man is sentenced over Marks and Spencer thefts

A man from Aylesbury was responsible for thefts from Marks and Spencer in Tring, it has been revealed by police today (Wednesday).
Ashley Smith, 22, of Ayreshire Close, Aylesbury, pleaded guilty last month to three thefts on December 14, 16 and 17 last year at the Tring store and he was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months on each.

A spokesman for Herts Police said in a statement that the defendant must comply with certain requirements within the supervision period of 12 months including attending appointments with a probation officer or another person at such times and places as the supervisor says.

Smith also has a drug rehabilitation requirement as a non-resident for six months and pay compensation of £51.
